It's Fabulous To Be Flat - Best Shoes for Fall

OK, it's true: When sporting your favorite power suit and a fabulous pair of heels, you are fearless and confident, ready to clinch the deal, woo the client and command the meeting.

But, ohmigod, by the end of the day, are your feet throbbing or what.

While the stylish suit/high-heel combo will always have its place, flats absolutely work at work.

Not just any super-low-heel shoe will do, however. They need to be rich in material, sophisticated in color and sleek in shape to exude the right vibe for the office.

Enter the following fabulous flats - and on second thought, maybe those heels aren't necessary after all:

Bandolino Jenkins Black Patent Flat - with square toe, buckle detail and cushioned footbed, this shoe is a perfect fit for any ensemble.

Jones New York Charm Leather Flat - suitable for a Board meeting or casual Friday, these croc embossed beauties come in deep purple, black, blue, brown or pewter, and sport a silver hardware buckle.

Steve Madden Shirly Pointed Toe Loafer - a new twist on an old classic, this flat, with its low wedge a winner on any day.

Ann Taylor Simone Metallic Flat - extra comfortable with an elasticized heel, this one’s only available online - hurry while they last.

Cole Haan Devin Air Ballet Shoes - The spectator inspired details, 1" stacked wedge and Nike® Air Technology set this shoe apart from the rest.

my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.” - Erma Bombeck
